Gryffin & SLANDER captivate with nostalgic new release, ‘All You Need To Know’

Gryffin seems primed for the release of his Gravity Pt. 2 EP, the forthcoming follow-up to late December’s 6-track effort, Gravity Pt. 1. His latest release alongside SLANDER is no exception, which the duo debuted for the first time last weekend at Buku Music + Arts Project.

The title of the collaboration is “All You Need To Know,” featuring the soaring vocals of Swedish singer/songwriter Calle Lehmann. The track represents the perfect blend of the artist’s beautiful melodic talents at the table, with Gryffin bringing in his signature gentle guitar chords and vibrant piano work to the song’s build-ups, and SLANDER letting their heaven trap elements and skittering synths take hold after each of the song’s drops.

“When I first heard the demo of All You Need To Know, it brought all the feelings back about why I originally fell in love with dance music, says Gryffin of the track.  “I wanted to take the emotions and nostalgic vibe and flip it in a more modern way.  The SLANDER guys and I had been talking about collaborating for some time, and this felt like the perfect fit for us to do something together and I’m so stoked how it turned out!”

With festival season fast approaching, “All You need To Know” is bound to be a feel-good staple of each of both Gryffin and SLANDER’s live sets. Catch both artists at Lollapalooza this summer, with Gryffin heading to Coachella this spring, and SLANDER making their way to Electric Forest and Tomorrowland later on down the road.
