Ever since The Chainsmokers and Illenium shocked the Ultra 2019 crowd with a primetime performance of their unreleased collaboration, fans have been crooning for the star-powered single’s wide release. The wait is finally over as the track, titled “Takeaway,” has finally come to full fruition in its mastered form.

Out now on Disrupter/Columbia, “Takeaway” is a charming star-studded ballad featuring the dual vocals of Drew Taggart and Lennon Stella. The single is accompanied by a simplistic music video, directed by Jeremiah Davis, which follows all four artists around New York City’s newly-erected architectural landmark, Vessel. In short, the single is a catchy, feel good melodic gem that begs listeners to listen to the track on repeat.

Both The Chainsmokers and Illenium have LPs slated for release before the year lets up, with both albums projected to perform extremely well on pop and dance music charts. Considering the early popularity of “Takeaway,” the collaboration will almost assuredly make its way onto World War Joy and Ascend, respectively.
