Surf Mesa – ily (i love you baby) ft. Emilee (ARTY Remix)

Acclaimed DJ/Producer ARTY has remixed Surf Mesa’s breakout hit, “ily (i love you baby),” featuring Emilee. ARTY brings a sparkling, up-tempo energy and progressive house style to the track, which has become an international phenomenon. Surf Mesa came across Emilee Flood’s popular cover of the song on her TikTok, and remixed it, giving the song a dreamy vibe. “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” the source of the indelible “I love you, baby” refrain,  has proven to be one of the biggest hits of Frankie Valli’s solo career. Released in 1967, the song was written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio.

In the official remix video, Surf Mesa takes to the Venice boardwalk with his skateboard. He’s seen in black-and-white, overlaid with pops of color, in the breezy, feel-good clip.

“The ‘ily (i love you baby)’ remix was probably one of the most challenging ones for me to finish,” explains ARTY. “I really like the subtle and soft feeling of the original song, so I wanted to keep the vibe but to take it in an entirely new direction. I tried out over 20 different harmonies until I found the one that felt the best. I’ve always been a big fan of synthwave and this remix felt like the perfect opportunity for this style. I love how it makes me feel.”
