Lido announces forthcoming ‘PEDER’ LP + album accompanying tour
Lido has been spending the past few years working behind the scenes with some of hip-hop’s most visible acts. His resume includes production credits on Chance The Rapper’s The Big Day as well as four of the opening tracks on Jaden Smith’s latest album, ERYS. Now the Norwegian singer/songwriter and producer is circling back around to focus on his solo work.
Lido took to his social media recently to announce that he’s finished a new album and has revealed its title, PEDER. He did all this on 808 Day at exactly 8:08pm, where he also tagged a private PEDER account with exactly 808 followers — one of them being none other than Skrillex. The album doesn’t have an official released date attached just yet, but Lido is celebrating the announcement with an album accompanying tour, dubbed Almost Peder. He followed up a few days later with ten show dates, including stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, New York, and Chicago.
The forthcoming LP marks Lido’s fourth full-length studio album to date. He also wrapped 2018 with an evocative visual EP, I O U 2, which was preceded by an R&B-influenced short player, I O U 1, the month previous.
Access the pre-sale for Lido’s Almost Peder tour on at 10am local time on Wednesday, August 14.
