SNAILS and Subtronics release a trasher in ‘SNAILCLOPS’
After releasing a heavy SNAILEDIT! mix just weeks ago, the king of Vomit Step is finally coming out of his shell — at least as far as new original music is concerned. The SNAILS label head has been steadily releasing new music over the course of summer, alongside Krimer and RKO. Before that, fans hadn’t heard from The SLUGZ MUSIC label head since late 2018’s Slimeaggedon EP, along with some notable one-off releases with Adventure Club and Wooli.
Now, SNAILS is putting his collaboration cap back on in anticipation of his upcoming World of Slime tour. What better of culprit-in-crime than Subtronics, who’s also carved out his very own niche in the bass music world with his CYCLOPS Army fan following. The explosive dubstep track, “SNAILCLOPS,” contains all the best elements from both producer’s toolbelt.
“I’ve wanted to work with Subtronics for a while now,” says SNAILS of the colaboration. “His production is so dope and unique and [I] love everything he’s doing right now and he’s a super cool guy. He brought a breath of fresh air to the SNAILS sound and construction that I’m not used to and love how the song came out!!”
With apocalyptic vocal samples and shrilling synths on the one hand, and heavy low-end drops and riddim tempos on the other, it’s the type of collaboration that will be heard from the two producers as they hit fall and winter festival mainstages across the country.
