For months, bass heads have been rumor milling around to predict Bassnectar‘s newest NYE spot — especially given how last year’s host, Greensboro, North Carolina, wasn’t exactly welcoming of his cult-style following invading their city. Then, just last week, Bassnectar casually announced that Louisville was the new city to host his annual NYE 360 event. Bass heads immediately began booking every hotel block in the nearest vicinity of the city’s largest indoor arenas.
Now the bass music godfather has released the official venue location and line-up for his annual one-night-only gathering celebrating “another circle around the sun.” The year-end family event will take place inside Louisville’s Freedom Hall, which sits around 19,000 in its maximum capacity. Supporting acts will come from Mala, Dorfex Bos, and female London dubstep duo Sicaria Sound, along with a very special, extended set from Bassnectar himself as he spins around in a 360-degree rotating stage for all to behold.
Bassnectar will be donating a portion of each New Year’s Eve ticket toward his Be Interactive charity’s newest initiative: Gateway To Therapy. In conjunction with Better Help, the goal is to raise $360,000 of free therapy over the next year for anyone in need of mental health counseling. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Bassnectar event without live painters, roaming performers, art installations, massage stations and gift alters in The Haven, and a Bass Network donation drive.
