FuntCase returns with ‘Next Chapter’ EP via Circus Records
Dubstep legend FuntCase has been firing on all cylinders since he released his first EP with 2013’s Don’t Piss Me Off. If bass music had its very own Mount Rushmore in fact, the frightening face of FuntCase would very likely be etched into stone alongside the very best sub-merchants. Now the bass music mainstay releases a brand new EP, dubbed Next Chapter, that signifies a new era of his sound.
Finding a home on the legendary Circus Records, the four-track album is everything fans love about FuntCase’s slasher bass sound stamp — aggressive synths, apocalyptic drops, and bass lined with grimey filth. The EP contains the already-released single, “Get Em,” a riotous collaboration with Flakzz, which has already been getting love from 12th Planet and Zomboy in their live sets. From the piano and beautiful vocals of Dani Poppitt on “Without” to a magnum opus of distorted filth on “Devastation,” Next Chapter is a brutal bayonet of tunes that will be inciting head-thrashing all season.
