Watch this uncanny Bassnectar live edit of ‘GRiZtronics’ at Hulaween
Always a man of his word, Bassnectar has delivered on his promise of a “GRiZtronics” remix. The bass music demigod recently took to Facebook in an AMA-style Q&A session with fans revealing tons of information over what’s on the horizon in his live sets. During that time, he revealed some of his plans for Hulaween, Voodoo, and his three-night Day Of The Dead run taking place in Grand Rapids next weekend, October 31 through November 1.
While on a busy weekend of pre-Halloween runs, Bassnectar capped off Friday night at Suwannee Hulaween with an earthquake set that had his culty bassheads talking about it as a curated event-type performance. During the set, Bassnectar unleashed a hell-raising edit of GRiZ and Subtronics‘ “Griztronics” mixed over Oski’s “Fuccapop.” The result was a zany bass-bolstered experience that takes both originals straight into Bassnectar territory. Of course, the edit left fans saying, “It’s a Bassnectar song now.”
No word on whether the seismic edit will become an official remix, but we’d say it’s highly likely that he’s just reserving “GRiZtronics” for his live sets. Watch a fan-recorded video of the moment below and view Bassnectar’s full Hulaween setlist here.
