MUST LISTEN: Louis The Child tackle stunning remix of Skrillex and Boys Noize’s ‘Midnight Hour’
Skrillex and Boyz Noize’s latest single, “Midnight Hour,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, has certainly enjoyed its time atop the dance music charts. The anthemic collaboration also reaps star-powered crossover appeal. Now Chicago’s headlining dance music duo, Louis The Child, has tackled the track in a stunning display of their remix capabilities.
The Kids At Play producers’ playful re-imagination holds onto the house rhythms of Dog Blood while adding in their signature high-end synths and a subtle xylophone line underneath Ty Dolla $ign’s sultry verses. On the second verse, the hip-hop artist’s voice is lifted further over a bed of chiming synths, bells, and whistles.
It’s no secret that Louis The Child absolutely clinged to “Midnight Hour” upon its release a couple of months ago. So much so that they created a live edit to deliver in their sets. As it turns out, the duo loved their own rework so much that they decided to release it for their fans.
