10 years later, A-Trak reveals how he made his famed ‘Heads Will Roll’ remix
In the summer of 2010, a remix of a popular song by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs took the world by storm. Famed DJ and producer A-Trak took on their tune “Heads Will Roll,” and his remix eventually became one of the most iconic electronic tracks to this day. It quickly took over the music industry and now, ten years later, he is letting fans in on how he made the remix.
In a thread on Twitter, he goes through his process of producing the remix and even opens the project files and first prototypes. The veteran producer and turntablist also posted an excerpt from his compilation “In The Loop,” detailing when he first heard the track and how remixing it came out.
