Jamie Jones teams up with Darius Syrossian for a thumping remix of Green Velvet’s ‘Bigger Than Prince’

Originally released in 2013 on Yousef’s Circus Recordings, Green Velvet’s “Bigger Than Prince” became a massive global success in the underground. With original remixes from The Martinez Brothers and Hot Since 82, the track became a dance floor favorite from the US to Ibiza. In 2016, the song received a remix package with Coyu, Jay Lumen, Yousef and Darius Syrossian all laying out their own unique renditions.

So if Darius Syrossian remixing the track feels familiar, that is it. Now he teams up with Jamie Jones to add a different take on the Green Velvet track. Syrossian’s 2014 remix went full force on the acid, but his newest remix with Jamie Jones takes a more stripped-back approach. Together, they turn the track into a thumping techno tune with gritty synths lines, rumbling bass lines, and infectious kicks, all while keeping Green Velvet’s vocals as the main focal.

With this batch of remixes, Yousef also tabbed Siege for an up-tempo house mix, Alan Fitzpatrick for a thumping techno mix. The full remix EP is available now on Circus Recordings
