Tame Impala announce 2020 summer arena tour with Clairo, MGMT, & Perfume Genius
Kevin Parker, the frontman of perhaps the largest psychedelic rock bands of this day and age, has just announced a tour for the coming year. 2019 has been Tame Impala‘s biggest year thus far, but it’s looking like 2020 is about to top that.
Tame Impala recently announced their highly-anticipated upcoming new album, The Slow Rush. The 12-track album—of which they’ve already released “Posthumous Forgiveness,” “It Might Be Time,” “Patience,” and the fan-favorite, “Borderline“—is set to release on Valentine’s Day of next year.
Now, they’ve just announced a massive 2020 summer tour with special guests, Clairo and MGMT, along for the ride on a few dates. Perfume Genius will also be accompanying them throughout the entire tour. There’s also been a lot of speculation of Tame Impala headlining a few festivals during this time as well.
The tour will kick off in Chicago on May 29. From there, Tame Impala will travel all across the United States over the following four months, before closing out the tour at The Gorge on August 7.
Tickets go on-sale this Friday, December 13, at 10 am local time.
