Here’s the first look into Movement’s 2020 line-up with Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex, Four Tet, The Black Madonna + more
As the United States’ strongest techno platform, Movement Detroit turns heads from all over the world with its expertly-curated line-up. Come May of every year, the festival draws those heads to “the birthplace of techno” for one of the world’s largest and loudest urban gatherings centered around the genre. And every year around this time, organizers release a “sneak peak” into the annual line-up to build hype for what’s on the horizon next year.
First up to the plate in 2020 are Techno titans Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, first time performers Boris Brejcha and Kobosil, along with notable standouts like The Black Madonna, Four Tet, Seth Troxler, and Louie Vega. With a teaser that arguably looks like Movement’s best yet, it’s enough to make any head starting booking their flights to Michigan.
Movement has always a finger on the pulse of who’s on top and who’s next in the techno/house scene. If techno was ever commercial, Movement is as mainstream as it gets. Yet, the festival has a unique air about always feeling as underground as it gets as well. With grounds set in the urban jungle of downtown, right along the Detroit River, and parties hosted in dingy clubs around the clock, Movement is one experience that attendees leaving with the feeling of being apart of the techno elite.
