Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott, & Frank Ocean top Coachella’s 2020 line-up

After about 90 minutes of one-at-a-time reveals via Twitter, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival revealed its full 2020 lineup this evening. Every year in the first weekend of January, organizers begin releasing the festival’s monstrous double-weekend event, which takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, April 10-12 and 17-19.

As expected, Rage Against the Machine are headlining on Friday, April 10 & 17, along with Travis Scott and Frank Ocean on the following nights. The three headliners were previously leaked in usual typical Coachella vein. Rage Against The Machine was a shoe-in for the rumored headlining slot after announcing their upcoming reunion tour. Of course, the move rubbed some fans the wrong way as the mere association with the mother-load of commercial festivals contradicts their music’s entire anti-establishment message.

Other notable billed artists include Thom Yorke, Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, FKA twigs, DaBaby, Run the Jewels, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, City Girls, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Charli XCX, 21 Savage, Big Sean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Yaeji, Snail Mail, Swae Lee, Noname, Denzel Curry, Danny Elfman, Cuco, 100 gecs, TNGHT, J.I.D, Rex Orange County, BIGBANG, slowthai, Nilüfer Yanya, Summer Walker, Hot Chip, Steve Lacy, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, (Sandy) Alex G, Rich Brian, PUP, Doja Cat, Weyes Blood, Orville Peck, black midi, Daniel Caesar, Princess Nokia, Sleaford Mods, SebastiAn, Amyl & the Sniffers.

In the realm of dance music, Coachella continues to fill their bill with loads of notable artists. In 2020, attendees can catch performances from Calvin Harris, Disclosure, BROCKHAMPTON, Caribou (and Daphni), Cashmere Cat, Malaa, DJ Koze, Lane 8, GRiZ, Flume, Jai Wolf, Tchami, WHIPPED CREAM, Louis The Child, SLANDER, Duke Dumont, Big Wild, Dom Dolla, Hayden James, Madeon, Mura Masa, Peggy Gou, Fatboy Slim, and more.

Duck Sauce—the A-Trak and Armand van Helden project—is on the lineup after being inactive since 2014. Japanese digital pop star Hatsune Miku is also on the lineup.

Last year’s Coachella was headlined by Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala. 2020 pre-sales will begin soon for those registered on Coachella’s website. Weekend One tickets are already completely sold-out.
