Watch Louis The Child drop unreleased gem at SnowGlobe
This past round of end-of-year festivals was certainly one to be remembered. Not only were they collectively the best places on earth to ring in a brand new decade, marquee acts brought their biggest and best unreleased tracks to the decks. We were even so lucky to get them in the form of plenty of IDs. From Bassnectar and YOOKiE‘s massive collaboration at NYE360 to Excision and SLANDER‘s heavy new ID at HiJinx, the big-name match-ups were pulling out plenty of new ammunition.
Thankfully, Louis The Child made themselves apart of the unreleased pack while taking the stage at SnowGlobe in Lake Tahoe, California. The track, which diehard fans will recognize as the “Fresh Juice” ID, has been dropped live by the guys for the past few years. The tune contains some of Louis The Child’s signature production marks, including crisp, skittering percussion. But what really strikes to the core is the song’s deep abrasive squelches and filthy basslines. It’s “unreleased dirt,” as the fan who captured the moment called it.
There’s been no word on whether Louis The Child plans to finally release the gem in 2020, but it’s certainly come a long way production-wise. So much that it seems almost ready to see the light of day.
