Zeds Dead second album announcement

Zeds Dead are reportedly wrapping up their second studio album

Last week’s release of We Are Deadbeats Vol. 4 comes with more noteworthy news than originally thought. As Zeds Dead fans continue to soak in the new label compilation, word has it the Canadian duo have even more on the horizon in 2020. As it turns out, the fourth Deadbeats compilation actually started as the framework for their sophomore studio album. However, the universe had other plans for DC and Hooks.

That doesn’t mean Dylan Mamid and Zachary Rapp-Rovan forgot what they started. The Toronto-based duo revealed the following in their press statement for We Are Deadbeats Vol. 4:

“We are in the process of finishing our second album, and at the same time have been working on these tracks for our live sets. Over time all these tracks started fitting together like a mixtape or compilation of sorts, and we felt it was a natural evolution of the We Are Deadbeats series we’ve had on the label since it started… That second Zeds Dead album is still coming though!”

That’s not al the exciting news for Zeds Dead fans. It was also recently uncovered that the duo has another Subtronics collaboration on the way for 2020 in the form of an Atmosphere remix that naturally evolved over Twitter. As for the forthcoming second album, fans are keeping their fingers crossed for unreleased collaborations with artists like REZZPEEKABOO, and 1788-L.
