GRiZ house comes to life with newest Night Bass single, ‘Could U’

After teasing the lyrics “fuck all night to this funky beat” on Instagram and Twitter some time ago, GRiZ fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of “Could U.” The Colorado-based producer (aka Grant Kwiecinski) has also performed the track live a few times, which he says he’s loved to play. After months of anticipation, GRiZ has turned to AC Slater’s Night Bass label to officially release the single.

One part disco, the other part spaced out Dirtybird house, and a whole lot of GRiZ, Kwiecinski really brings the funky house music back to life with “Could U.” Although the single still contains GRiZ’s signature future funk mark, he goes far beyond his usual realm to lace the track with super groove appeal. With the use of guitar progressions, bouncy basslines, upbeat synths, and his own vocals, GRiZ has created quite a masterpiece.
