Cofresi and Megan Hamilton fashion hybrid melodic bass/R&B pleaser from previous tour, ‘Patience’

Drummer and future bass beatmaker Cofresi has teamed up with the heady vocalist and heavy bass producer Megan Hamilton on a buttery, bass-forward track, titled “Patience.” The two actually debuted the collaboration live on their co-headlining tour last fall, so the final master is a pretty special one.

“As soon as I got the vocals back from Megan for this track, I knew we had a special collaboration on our hands,” says Cofresi on working with Hamilton. “Her execution and style are unique and both lend themselves to the instrumental and surrounding production.”

Megan Hamilton’s lyrics convey what most have found all too familiar—feelings of falling short in a relationship. Cofresi then expands on the story by way of instrumentals, with wavy synths and subtle bass textures that evoke raw emotion. 

One their own, both artists are a force to be reckoned in the bass world. Cofresi pushes the boundaries of modern performance and production with a hybrid style and a refreshingly versatile live DJ/digital-acoustic drum setup. Megan Hamilton is a well-equipped rocket in the electronic orbit. Her mix of hypnotic bass, funky riffs, and house grooves push the envelope with every track. Together, they are able to fashion a tune that highlights both of their strengths in the studio.
