1788-L furnishes deliciously glitchy remix of Madeon’s ‘All My Friends’
After a noteworthy few year-end releases, 1788-L has returned with his first release of 2020. The mid-tempo/glitch producer ended 2019 with heavy collaborations alongside Kayzo and The Glitch Mob, the latter of which made CE‘s Top Singles of 2019 short list. Now the Dallas-based artist has unleashed a deliciously glitchy remix of Madeon‘s iconic single, “All My Friends.”
Considering how Madeon uploaded the acapella to the track shortly after its release for artists to play around with, endless remixes and flips have graced the digital shelves over the past nine months. However, 1788-L’s remix is hand-down one of the cleanest and most crisp offerings to date as he lays down his own undeniable sound stamp onto the track.
The remix’s first drop is where things come to a head, turning suddenly dark and glitchy from Madeon’s twinkling synth-pop. From there, 1788-L’s crunching synths and gritty textures take hold, letting up only for Madeon’s light-hearted vocals. The remix is truly the best of both worlds.
