Watch RÜFÜS DU SOL’s mystifying ‘Live from Joshua Tree’ performance
When RÜFÜS DU SOL ventured out to Joshua Tree to write their third studio album, 2018’s Solace, it would mark the beginning of what would later be a double Grammy-nominated LP. While the Australian indie-dance act later finished the album in their summer home studio in Venice, Solace marked their first big break-through, at least in the global sense.
Now the three lads have paid their respects to the sacred place in their newest 45-minute feature film, Live from Joshua Tree. The project premiered in Los Angeles last month. Now they’ve released the film in full, featuring hits from all three of RÜFÜS’ albums, including Bloom and Atlas, as well as a select few new songs. Taking place around sunset, the live concert continues into nightfall with stage lighting taking over natural sunlight. As the band lighting the entire journey in their emotive performance, it’s a truly mystifying experience to behold.
The feature-length film also comes with a mastered live album, which surveys eight RÜFÜS DU SOL hits, including “Solace,” “Interbloom,” “Underwater,” and more. Watch and stream Live From Joshua Tree below.
