Coachella to celebrate 20 years in the desert with feature-length documentary [TRAILER]

Coachella Music Valley and Arts Festival, one of the world’s largest and most visible festivals, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this October. Every year, the Indio Valley-based festival’s production team at Goldenvoice manages to must up an incredibly diverse and talented line up containing some of the biggest names across the entire music industry. Every year, tickets sell out in record time as well.

Due to the increasing popularity, the producers behind Coachella teamed up with YouTube last year to live-stream both weekends of the event, for the first time ever. This year, they’re teaming up with the popular video streaming platform again for a long-form documentary.

Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert will be premiering on YouTube, April 10. The documentary will feature the ongoing relationship between YouTube and the festival as well as offering fans a closer look into the making of Coachella, what goes on behind the scenes, and everything in between. It’ll also include unseen set footage from Swedish House Mafia, Daft Punk, Rage Against The Machine, Björk, Madonna, Billie Eilish, and Kanye West. Check out the trailer below!

Recently, Goldenvoice was forced to postpone their 2020 event from its original dual weekends in April due to the Coronavirus crisis in America.
