Insomniac announces Middlelands’ return via the Virtual Rave-A-Thon
Insomniac Events has consistently been on the leaderboard in terms of the weekend live streams. Their Virtual Rave-A-Thons have thus far brought Beyond Wonderland, Countdown, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Escape Psycho Circus to computer screens and smart TVs worldwide. The live streams stand out against the pack because they are the only format not broadcasted live from DJ’s living rooms, but hosted inside Insomniac’s headquarters in Los Angeles. Essentially, they are Pasquale Rotella‘s own private little rave cave with artists traveling in to chat with Rotella a bit before delivering exclusive sets with top-notch Insomniac production.
Now Insomniac’s fabled Rennaisance-themed festival, Middlelands, joins the party. All bets are on that Rotella will be dressed to the nines as he enjoys an adult beverage or two throughout the evening. Of course, the entire space will be Rennasaince themed, much like Escape’s was spooky Halloween themed, Beyond was Alice In Wonderland themed, etc.
As an IRL event, Middlelands enjoyed only one highly-successful break-out year in Texas before getting canceled due to local politics and noise complaints. However, Rotella has been itching to get the festival back on its feet, even leaving hints and even an official word that Middlelands would return in 2021, but you can bet it probably won’t be in the Lonestar state.
At this point, artists for Middlelands’ Virtual Rave-A-Thon have not yet been announced. The stream begins this Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, from 4:00pm-1:00am PT each day. Tune in via Insomniac’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
