SoDown & Bass Physics – Pull The Trigger

Rising bass-tronica figure and CE favorite SoDown has been buckling down during quarantine. Most recently, he delivered a jaw-dropping electro-funk anthem with Megan Hamilton that is still generating loads of hype. He then released his “Get Down On The Ground” VIP not long after. Now the Boulder-based multi-instrumentalist has enlisted fellow Colorado musician Bass Physics on a new joint effort, “Pull The Trigger.”

The tune was written to inspire listeners to chase their dreams no matter what the outcome. “The journey isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, but you never fail until you quit. Whatever your goal, dream, or ambition, we encourage y’all to Pull The Trigger,” the pair says on the release.

The tune is as equally as dark and heavy as it is powerful and deep. Complete with ominous tones and lo-fi vocal samples, gritty synths, and pulsating whips, and soulful sax solos care of SoDown himself, “Pull The Trigger” will take its listeners on an up-and-down journey through the highs and lows, the hard and the hopeful, and the frightening and joyful.

SoDown’s forthcoming Night Glow EP is set to release soon. More information is coming on that one, but all that is known is that the project will be released on Boogie T’s
