ODEZSA and Golden Features are Bronson… and they’ve just finished a full album [UPDATED]

ODESZA has been keeping busy since announcing they were taking a break from touring to go back into the studio. In the process, they’ve managed to give fans a few surprises in the form of a brand new NO.SLEEP mixtape… but no one could have expected their next move. Today, in an penultimate “aha” surprise moment, Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight announced their new side project alongside Golden Features. The group trio is called Bronson and they have “just wrapped a full-length album,” says ODESZA on their socials.

The idea for the group stemmed from night one at Sundara when the guys came out during Golden Features’ late night set. Then, ODESZA released a mysterious ID around minute 25 in their NO.SLEEP Mix.12 titled “??? – ??,” which fans have now successfully IDed as a track from Bronson titled “Heart Attack,” featuring lau.ra.
To make matters more unclear, Brownies & Lemonade also tweeted out a cryptic something suggesting that fans could be hearing the new album sooner than thought. Immediately, fans began speculating that Bronson may be filling the surprise slot at Chill Nation’s Room Service this evening, Sunday, April 26 at 11:10 – 11:40pm PST.
so odesza and golden features collabed and put together a brand new album

if only there was a way to hear some of it…
🤫
Yet, Brownies & Lemonade is not affiliated with the digital music festival, so it’s hard to be 100 percent certain. Nevertheless, one can bet that ODESZA’s committed fanbase will be sitting around all night to find out.

There is also the possibility that Brownies & Lemonade could be gearing up to host another event after their highly successful online showcase with Proximity, Digital Mirage. If nothing else, Bronson’s logo depicting wire cutters looks pretty rad. The group’s Twitter account already has over 2,000 followers in under an hour. Plus, Bronson is following Foreign Family and Ninja Tune, so that is likely where the album will be released. No date has been set just yet.

Until then, listen to Golden Features’ remix of “Falls,” released on ODESZA’s Falls Remixes EP back in 2018, to gain a glimpse into the sounds of Bronson.
UPDATE: Monday, April 27, 2020, 12:12pm CST: Broson wasn’t the secret headliner. The slot was filled by Whethan, who played a lot of his new album.
