Summer Camp goes virtual with Zeds Dead, Umphrey’s McGee, Manic Focus, STS9, and more

Beloved music festival Summer Camp unfortunately faced the disruption of their yearly celebration and 20th anniversary, like many others, due to the pandemic. Originally pushed back to August from their standard May dates, the possibility of the festival happening at all hangs in the balance. But while the physical future of the fest may be uncertain, they have announced a virtual throwdown that is sure to please fans of the original lineup.

The online stream is featuring some of the artists from the 2020 lineup, including Moe., Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, Twiddle, and Manic Focus among others. It also boasts some exciting new additions like Zeds Dead, Big Gigantic, and Yonder Mountain String Band. If the music wasn’t enough to draw you in, they’ll be providing extra elements such as interviews with resident Summer Camp artists and staff, panels and workshops on sustainability and conscious arts like yoga, throwback performances from previous Summer Camp editions, and giveaways for fans.

The event is going down on Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24, and more details on where to participate and watch can be found here. Summer activities may be moving indoors, but organizers are putting their hearts into providing an exciting, adjacent experience for their listeners.
