Tomorrowland will hold digital festival, ‘Around the World’
The globally renowned dance music festival, Tomorrowland, was on the early list of 2020 festival cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The dual weekend event announced they would not be moving forward with their 2020 installment back in April. In lieu of their IRL event, organizers of the Boom, Belgium-based spectacle have announced a two-day digital festival experience called Around The World.
The event will take place on July 25 and 26 as the People of Tomorrow write “the first chapter in The Reflection of Love.” Organizers wrote the following in a social media statement:
“Prepare for a spectacular two-day digital music festival experience on a new location, bringing together the planet’s biggest names in electronic dance music on multiple stages and the world’s best technology in 3D design, video production and special effects.”
Interestingly, the live stream event will not be free of charge, which breaks with previous standards sets by so many festival production companies before it. Around the World will actually be a ticketed event. Tickets to Tomorrowland’s Around The World will go on sale on June 18 and can be purchased here. Line-up to follow.
