Skrillex previews new collaboration about staying silent on racial justice, ‘You See It’
In response to the nationwide protests, Skrillex recently made a sincere impact by sharing some much-needed positivity with his fans on Instagram. The OWSLA don has teased a preview of a brand new collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, Ant Clemons, Virtual Riot, and Nia Miranda.
“You See It” employs an interesting mix of talent, which allows the song to make a bold and emotional statement on the impact of silence during a time when voices can bring about change. Moreover, the track actually includes a vocal snippet sampled from a video where Nia Miranda calls out a woman for vandalizing a building during a Black Lives Matter protest in Los Angeles.
Alongside the post, Skrillex supports “You See It” with an insightful caption about the conflation of violence and the true focus of these major societal issues. Sadly, no official release date has been announced for the collaboration. However, the preview definitely brings some empowering themes to the table during a very troubling time.
