Bob Moses and ZHU portray the two-fold sides of ‘Desire’ [WATCH]
Two marquee names in house have just teamed up on what is arguably the month’s biggest release. Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance of Bob Moses have joined artistic forces with Los Angeles-based house maven ZHU on a haunting new house gem, “Desire.” Out now on Domino Recording Co, “Desire” is the lead single from Bob Moses’ fourth full-length studio effort, Desire, which is set to land on August 28.
Bob Moses explained that they “wanted to make something that was continuously mixed, something that would take the listener on a journey and replicate that feeling we try to create when we’re playing our sets in a club.”
Equipped with hypnotic chords, deep synths, and deep, pulsating bass, ZHU lends his vocals to the track, giving “Desire” a late-night feel that begs to played on repeat. The collaboration is accompanied by a traditional music video (below) and an interactive visual (accessible here). The interactive video, directed by CTRL5’s Owen Brown, uses anaglyph imagery to portray the two-fold sides of desire—pleasure and pain.
Bob Moses and ZHU will go back-to-back on ZHU’s BLACKLIZT Factory 93, which takes place July 17 at 7pm EST via Insomniac TV.
