The Netherlands’ longest-running festival, MysteryLand, is taking their 2020 edition to new heights—literally. Due to COVID-19 essentially canceling its 27th edition in Floriade, Haarlemmermeer, which was set to take place Memorial Day weekend, the folks behind the event began brainstorming ways to make their virtual edition stand out from the rest of the pack. Enter: MysteryLand’s Let’s Get High stream, featuring 50 artists across 8 channels for 6 hours of dance music.

“Together with the team, we started looking for an alternative way to create a nightlight to end the summer,” said festival director, Milan Raven. “With the cooperation of a number of great artists, we have literally succeeded.”

Catch Joris Voorn, Paul van Dyk, Sander van Doorn, Sefa, and Vunzige Deuntjes Soundsystem throwing down sets from hundreds of feet in the sky in a hot air balloon. Down on the ground, Carl Cox is also hosting his own specially curated stage with his Awesome Soundwave imprint. The 8-channel stream will feature an array of EDM genres, from house and trance to dancehall, techno, and more. Hardcore and hardstyle lovers will be able to enjoy at a virtual Q-dance stage.

Mysteryland’s “Let’s Get High” virtual festival will take place Saturday, August 29, from 7pm to 1am UTC, here. Stay tuned for the full incoming lineup. If it’s anything like the original 2020 lineup, fans can count on seeing dance music’s biggest artists from across the globe.
