Four Tet delivers highly-anticipated remix of Tame Impala’s ‘Is It True’
Following his Sixteen Oceans LP in spring, Four Tet has set his sights on Tame Impala. The Kevin Parker-led psychedelic rock band, recently released their fourth studio album, The Slow Rush, which contained the track, “Is It True.” The LP’s ninth track caught Four Tet’s ear and now the English musician has put his touches on it as an official remix.
In Four Tet’s reimagination of “Is It True,” Tame Impala’s psychedelic landscapes shine vibrantly while Four Tet puts his subdued, indie-electronic fingerprints on the track. Effervescent tones, chiming synths, and sultry house beats fill the ambient space of the track. The result is a psych-pop anthem turned ethereal, colorful, and delicately exquisite. “Is It True” also comes with a unique visualizer, adding a new dimension to the gorgeously re-envisioned track.
