Since Seven Lions (real name Jeff Montalvo) took to the legendary Gorge Amphitheatre this month, the Insomniac-hosted set has already become an iconic performance in the minds of his close-knit fan community. Complete with scenic Washington State views, and the spectacular level of visual production that only Insomniac can provide, Montalvo played a nearly two-hour set as the sun set beautifully over the venue’s sprawling mountainous outlook point.
When darkness came and professional-grade lighting design took over, Seven Lions played out some of his biggest tracks currently, including “Known You Before” with Jason Ross, “Another Me” with Excision, Wooli, and Dylan Matthew, his collaboration with Last Heroes and HALIENE, “Don’t Wanna Fall.” The Seattle-based melodic maven also played a yet-to-identified new remix of his single with Illenium, Said The Sky, and HALIENE, “Rush Over Me,” making for a standout moment in the set.
Montalvo also made sure to feature plenty of Ophelia artists, while odeing to the dance music greats like Kaskade and Above & Beyond. Not to mention, his throuple partners, Gem & Tauri, opened up the evening with an amazing set of their own… but that’s another story for another time.
