Bonnaroo reschedules 20th anniversary for the third time

Bonnaroo organizers are certainly feeling the trials tribulations associated with the Corona pandemic, along with the rest of the live music entertainment industry. As one of the United States’ largest and most diverse summer festival offerings, the festival was gearing up for its landmark 20th-anniversary achievement. That is, until COVID-19 continued to spread.

As one of the first festivals of 2020 to post-pone their event, the mid-June gathering set their sights on late-September, which ultimately resulted in their Virtual ROO-ALITY event. When Bonnaroo was forced to cancel their 2020 festival altogether, they then looked to their usual weekend on June 17 – 20, 2021. Now they’re pushing back to September 2 – 5, 2021, according to a recent social media announcement.

The new dates will still align with Bonnaroo’s 20th anniversary. More information on Bonnaroo 2021’s lineup, ticketing, and camping details are still in the works, with organizers gearing up to release additional information soon. Of course, the most saddening part of the news is how projections of COVID-19 are set to continue into late summer of 2021, which a Live Nation executive projected earlier this year.
