LODIS link with fellow Austin artist Josh Rubin once more for feel-good melodic bass single, ‘Broken’
Good news for sad boys and girls everywhere. Up-and comers Jack McCafferty and Cody Savonen, who make up LODIS, have just the track to get listeners to delve deep into their feels. The duo lives and creates out of Austin, Texas and they’ve linked with fellow Austinite Josh Rubin on a vocally-driven electronic chart track, titled “Broken.”
“Broken” is a versatile record, combining elements from many different electronic genres, but puts the creative newcomers into conversation with the likes of Illenium, SLANDER, William Black, and more. With heavy influences of commercially-driven melodic future bass, the track was written by Savonen and McCafferty of LODIS, as well as Josh Rubin (credits for ARMNHMR, Pixel Terror, and more). After listening to this emotionally-driven track, it becomes clear both LODIS and Rubin are ready to make their mark on the new year.
Born in late 2020, Austin-based LODIS have made immediate waves in the melodic-bass scene with their breakthrough single, “Lifeline.” LODIS has received major support from artists such as ARMNHMR, N3WPORT, Lost Identities, and more. The duo recently announced their first two live performance dates, supporting Ookay & Nitti Gritti, as well as their first headline show soon after. Rubin wrapped up 2020 with some noteworthy collaborations releasing on powerhouse labels Proximity and Subsidia Records.
A long-anticipated EP from Josh Rubin, and a combination of remixes and new originals set for release from LODIS – These artists aren’t messing around in 2021.
