Anytime a couple of house music juggernauts join forces, the dance music world pays mind. Such is the case with tech-house duo CamelPhat and the illustrious Green Velvet‘s newest joint effort, “Critical,” which recently landed on Ministry Of Sound Records. Arriving on the heels of CamelPhat’s debut album, Dark Matter, the nearly four-and-a-half-minute selection presents a steadfast fusion of the trio’s dynamic sounds.

Beginning with Green Velvet’s captivating vocals spread across a thumping 4×4 bass line, the track culminates in an inter-dimensional groove that is underscored by hypnotic chords, pulsating synths, Shepard tones, and spacey samples. The merger presents a high-octane club floor heater that leaves fans yearning for a return to live to test out the beat’s footwork potential.
