Jai Wolf takes a turn behind the wheel on Petit Biscuit’s ‘Drivin Thru The Night’

Petit Biscuit recently sought out Jai Wolf after the impressive take he recently put to rendering keshi’s “Blue.” Jai Wolf, or Sajeeb Saha, hasn’t risen to his status as a groundbreaker in pop production just through remixes alone though. Instead, he has relied on his ability to weave energetic and uplifting synths through melodic verses and refrains in his own compositions. After all, if “Drivin Thru the Night” is the goal, infusing some of Jai Wolf’s energy is key.

The driving in the track is accomplished through Petit Biscuit’s supplied vocals, which spin a narrative of ending up in late-night driving adventures with someone close. The track is an ode to those nights that end up as early mornings, and the special feeling that that brings. Needless to say, putting Jai Wolf behind the wheel was a solid choice by Petit Biscuit, who, figuratively speaking, sits comfortably in the passenger seat.

The Jai Wolf feel-good drops and bouncy kicks and percussions persist through the track, bringing life, but also an interesting feeling of being in motion. Aided by the use of a repeater on the final vocal sound that strategically fades through the synths, the listener might find themselves in that familiar place, driving late at night, with open and empty roads, and with people they love.
