The weekend marked Porter Robinson‘s return in a big way. Not only did the North Carolina native release his long-awaited sophomore album, he held his very first live Nurture set during the Secret Sky 2 virtual event. The one-night-only live-streamed event brought Baauer, Boys Noize, REZZ, Wave Racer, and more to its virtual stage. Then, much to the shock and awe of his beloved fanbase, Robinson delivered news of Second Sky’s return to the Bay Area this fall.

After a stunning first annual showcase back before the pandemic, one which raised the live bar for curated events in every way possible, the second Secret Sky Festival will officially take place on September 18 and 19 at Cesar E. Chavez Park in Berkeley, California. Given how Porter’s 2019 event sold out in a matter of hours, this year’s Second Sky has moved to a larger venue to accommodate the demand.
