Brompsapien plays live on pioneer decks - Beyond Zones Premiere

BroMosapien’s ‘Beyond Zones’ breaks the bar for hybrid bass on new 4-tracker, ‘All Around’ EP via Wubaholics [PREMIERE]

BroMosapien, the brainchild of North Carolina’s Andy Underwood, is moving swiftly through the underground ranks. After making continuous waves with releases on a multitude of labels such as The Untz, Electric Hawk, 40 Ounce Collective, Mean Mug, and The Undergrowth, BroMosapien still manages to turn heads with every project he touches. Today, the rising dubstep extraordinaire arrives on one of bass music’s most-revered underground labels, Wubaholics, for “Beyond Zones,” via his new four-track hybrid bass EP, All Around.

Dropping an array of killer sounds over the past year, BroMosapien refuses to slow down in proving he is a staple of the underground bass community. Last year, Underwood enjoyed strong support from Mersiv and his indie imprint, MorFlo Records, and released his long-awaited Fallen Kingdom EP, which also garnered support from Liquid Stranger and the Wakaan camp. Following suit with his pattern of breaking limits and setting examples of a great work ethic, BroMosapien has crafted something intrinsically special with this Wubaholics four-tracker.

Raising the bar: Going ‘Beyond Zones’…

Coming to CE to premiere the EP’s middle track, “Beyond Zones,” BroMosapien shows long-time fans and new listeners alike how he is always “upping the ante” for what constitutes bass music. The three-and-a-half-minute cut begins with lush, organic leads that set the stage for the atmospheres ro run wild all over the track. Sure to ignite any dance venue, BroMosapien’s glitchy, granulated textures then begin their dance behind his intense, syncopated rhythms for a waffling heavy bass anthem dripping with intensity.

BroMosapien – Beyond Zones [Conscious Electronic Premiere]

CE had the chance to sit down with the rising bass act, who had some words to say about this release:

“’Beyond Zones’ is actually a track I started in 2019 & was highly inspired by the shows I was playing weekly with high-energy octane! When making this tune, I was evolving more & more into my sound design sessions of weird blips sprinkled throughout tracks which you can hear in all of my recent works. This tune set the bar of what I am currently working on now & it holds up incredibly well with being written almost 2 years ago. This tune is meant to be played at high volumes only & is intended to keep the party going ’til the break of dawn’ just like the vocals say!“

Setting the standard: Up and down and All Around

Playing with pulsating production techniques, daring creative choices, and what can only be described as “alien-esque” energies, BroMosapien leads listeners through a universe of eclectic post-dubstep sounds that breathe new energy into the genre.

From the EP’s use of saturated bass lines to its maddening grooves, and high-octane energy driving experimentation throughout, All Around proves BroMosapien is more than capable of taking bass music to new heights. From start to finish, the entire project will satisfy even the heaviest of bass pallets, while simultaneously leaving listeners begging for more.
