After being forced to cancel their 2020 edition due to the pandemic, Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain was able to transfer over much of its previous lineup to 2021. Backwoods will now return to its home in Ozark, Arkansas with a lineup featuring headliners The String Cheese Incident, Lotus, and Shpongle (Simon Posford DJ Set) set the headline.
Other headliners for the four-day event include Ganja White Night, G Jones, Opiuo, Greensky Bluegrass, CloZee, and The Floozies. The weekend will also see performances from AC Slater, Artifakts, Carbin, Cnopes, Com Truise, Cycles, Detox Unit, Dirtfoot, Freddy Todd, Maddy O’Neal, Mlotik, Molokai, Of The Trees, Opal Agafia, Papadosio, Spafford, SunSquabi, Zeke Beats, and many more.
In 2019, the Backwoods family was struck by tragedy as a helicopter crash that left three people dead and one injured on the final day of the festival. While the event was forced to shut down early in an attempt to allow emergency services to access the crash site, the tragedy only brought the festival community closer together.
The festival will take place August 26–29, 2021. Tickets for Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain are available on the venue’s website.
