MYTHM blurs the dreamworld and ‘THE UNDERWORLD’ with ‘ADONUS’ via Wubaholics [Premiere]
With releases already from Wormhole, Electric Hawk, Spicy Bois, LoFreq, and more in his pocket, MYTHM‘s sonic résumé and his 120 bpm heavy, halftime style have already earned him veteran-like appeal. The underground heavyweight, who goes by Mikey Miele in his waking life, now joins the Wubaholics crew to deliver “ADONUS,” which CE is stoked to premiere a day ahead of his EP release under the Wubaholics banner.
Previewing his forthcoming EP, titled THE UNDERWORLD, which lands June 9, MYTHM’s newest cut comes as a dark, heavy, and foreboding cut designed to take listeners deep into the underworld. If “ADONUS” is any indication, it’s a frighteningly lucid place somewhere between the dream world and the afterlife.
Fitting considering the title of the EP, to say the least, but “ADONUS” is uniquely crafted around gritty halftime measures, nightmarish tones, and a slowly creeping sound design that cuts deep under the skin and into the psyche. Speaking to the track’s technical and creative approach, Miele tells us:
"I recently got the analog heat in my studio which is a distortion unit so I made a bunch of new basses with that for the track."

A fledgling up-and-comer by all senses of the term, with a full-fledged veteran appeal, MYTHM is taking the bass music scene by storm with his diabolical wubs, distinctly ominous textures, and gritty halftime appeal. “ADONUS” is the proof in the pudding, which offers the perfect preview of what experimental bass music fans can expect from his incoming two-track EP release.
