Bassrush Records is back and absorbing the bass underground one rising artist at a time, so it seems! Housed under the Insomniac Music Group umbrella, the heavy bass-focused label is largely tasked with scouting young, fresh talent to stock the bassPOD stage at EDC Las Vegas annually. Along the process, they tend to locate plenty of great starry-eyed bass music faces to release under their banner. For its fourth installment of The Prophecy, Bassrush now brings a whole new lean, green round of rising bass music recruits into the limelight, along with some considerable veterans including GAWM, Slang Dogs, Chromatik & Cyclops, Eradikid, and more.

From TWERL and Avance’s paralytic drops on “Space Rave” and Yvng Jalapeño’s chaotic frequencies on “Pain Relief,” to GAWM’s aggressive synth assaults on “Fear” and Slang Dogs with their signature low-end distortion on “Stay Down,” the ten-track artist compilation takes no prisoners in this heavy assault on the senses. Rising from the ashes of this sonic op/ed of “what’s hot and who’s next in heavy bass” are ten fresh-faced inductees into the monstrous Bassrush roster. They’ve each been given their chance to influence the sound and direction of the label and they’ve shot and scored.

When Bassrush launched their label compilation series, The Prophecy, back in February 2020, they were able to procure rising bass music artists like EAZY BAKED, Abelation, Shanghai Doom, FRQ NCY, and more. Now that the imprint has proved that they’ve got their ear close to the underground, with later installments showcasing  Nik P, Khiva, Floret Loret, Super Future, and many more, there’s no telling where Bassrush will go next.
