Zeds Dead, CloZee, Dirt Monkey & more to join GRiZ for his ‘Rainbow Brain’ roll out during live Sirius XM takeover

The radio waves aren’t the only thing GRiZ is taking on this weekend. He’s taking over the silver screen.

In lieu of his seventh studio album deliverance looming this Friday, a 23-track whopper titled Rainbow Brain which he announced last week, GRiZ in gearing up for a remarkable launch. After all, the Denver-based electro-soul pioneer wouldn’t be “everyone’s favorites funk master” if he hadn’t planned something spectacular to mark the occasion. Never mind that seven long-form musical projects is quite the occasion in itself.

Grant Kwiecinski is doing one even better for his devoted following of GRiZ fans.

The Rainbow Brain rollout won’t be your typical album drop, because GRiZ isn’t your typical “EDM” producer. Big, bold, and unexpected is the only thing that can be counted on from GRiZ, who is planning a three-day-long celebration for the GRiZ family, starting the evening of the LP’s midnight release. Says GRiZ of the release,

“I want to live my life in the space of creative expression, and I want you to enjoy it… this is something close to my heart that gives my life purpose. I hope that you love it.”

On Thursday, July 22, Kwiecinski will be premiering Rainbow Brain The Movie, an immersive audio/visual experience that seeks to transport viewers to the outer realms of the imagination. Rainbow Brain The Movie promises to bring a theatrical performance element unlike anything you’ve ever seen from GRiZ.

Then, on the Saturday evening following this Friday’s LP release, GRiZ and the gang will be taking over the SiriusXM radio waves for a huge satellite event. Dubbed Rainbow Brain Radio, he’s enlisted an all-star cast to help him ring in the landmark achievement: Zeds Dead, CloZee, Dirt Monkey, Doctor P, Of The Trees, Vampa, and MIZE, who will each be contributing their own mix downs on the evening. Then GRiZ will take to the waves where he will be rinsing out much of the LP’s content for the first time live. Tune into Diplo‘s Revolution channel to be apart of all the excitement.
