Coachella’s 2022 lineup has landed: Kanye (Ye), Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, & Swedish House Mafia to headline
Coachella is returning to Indio Valley’s Empire Polo Club this April after a long pandemic delay. The two-year-long hiatus was finally broken today, January 12, as the festival announced its full 2022 lineup. Kanye West (who was officially billed as Ye), Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Swedish House Mafia will headline the festival for dual weekend in late April.
There’s plenty of dance music going off all weekend, as is usually the case. On Friday, fans can make a whole day of EDM alone—with Louis the Child, Lane 8, Madeon, Black Coffee, Peggy Gou, Martinez Brothers, slowthai, Damian Lazirus, TOKiMONSTA, Lost Kings, and GG Magree.
Saturday sees Flume, Disclosure, Caribou, BROCKHAMPTON, Tchami, Richie Hawtin, ANNA, VNSSA, WHIPPED CREAM, and more. SLANDER, Duke Dumont, Duck Sauce, Honey Dijon, Solomun, Fatboy Slim, and more will take to the decks on the closing day, along with a plethora of other acts from all across the musical spectrum.
The lineup also includes Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Danny Elfman, Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Jamie xx, Carly Rae Jepsen, Vince Staples, Japanese Breakfast, Idles, J.I.D, girl in red, Caroline Polachek, 100 gecs, DJ Koze, the Avalanches, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Baby Keem, Denzel Curry, Arooj Aftab, Orville Peck, Nilüfer Yanya, PUP, the Blessed Madonna, Spiritualized, Amber Mark, Mako Kream, Turnstile, Rina Sawayama, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, BadBadNotGood, Amyl and the Sniffers, and many more.
After many COVID-19-related cancellations, the original headliners announced for Coachella 2020 included Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Travis Scott. There has been much controversy surrounding Travis Scott’s headliner status, which was called into question after the Astroworld 2021 tragedy that resulted in the deaths of 10 attendees. Frank Ocean’s headline marquee will move to next year at Coachella 2023.
Check out the full lineup for the festival below. Coachella 2022 will take place across two weekends: April 15-17 and April 22-24. As with previous years, the festival will be livestreamed on Coachella’s YouTube channel.
