Releasing their first EP since June 2021, experimental electronic-pop duo STAR SEED now returns to Ophelia Records with the uniquely titled, Digital Forest.

The titular track takes listeners through house grooves and shimmering synths that do the song and EP’s title justice. Meggie York’s distinct vocals shine through in “All I’d Ever Need” alongside glitchy fills and an infectious Ophelia Records 2021 melodic trap beat. Their collaboration with fellow Ohio native Vaance, “Don’t Forget,” juxtaposes hooky vocals with energetic percussive loops, frenetic sound design, and genre-bending drops.

STAR SEED is an electronic music duo formed in September of 2020 by two producers/creatives with a handful of experience in the music industry. The duo is a collection of sounds built to merge the gap between sonic exploration, nature, spirituality, and the unknown and takes listeners into otherworldly, fully realized soundscapes across a multitude of genres.

The EP follows up STAR SEED’s debut project on Ophelia, the Innerspace EP, which saw acts like YULTRON and Tsu Nami complement their dreamy soundscapes and sticky songwriting. Stream Digital Forest now.
