Mersiv and SuperAve. deliver bass bolstered weapon with new EP, ‘How I Step’ via Deadbeats
In a highly-anticipated joining of creative talents between Denver trailblazer Mersiv and South Carolina enigma SuperAve., the two underground bass forms now come together on Deadbeats for their How I Step EP. Whether it’s Mersiv’s pretty, dark, loud version of mind control you’re after or SuperAve.’s urban sounds of the culture, How I Step has got something for everyone.
The three-track project is a bass bolstered weapon with one original collaborative joint, along with two VIP edits from both artists, which is where their own production marks truly shine. Whereas Mersiv delivers once again on his free-form bass aesthetic intended to bring forth emotion and vitality, SuperAve. offers up three full minutes of griddy 90’s hip-hop blended with his futuristic heavy sound design.
The new EP sees the two artists circling back to Deadbeats Records, following Mersiv’s “Mind Sounds” on WE ARE DEADBEATS VOL. 3. The new EP also marks SuperAve.’s third release on the label, alongside “Portal” with CHOMPPA and his five-track EP, The Streets Hear Everything.
