Nick Rowland has been on an absolute tear this year as the man behind Super Future. The conscious creator has just come back from Electric Forest in his homestate, where he delivered tons of unofficial sets over the five-day weekend, which columinated in one of his famous sunrise sets. After landing a music deal with SSKWAN last year, and coming off a huge collab with Wreckno and DEV, the Grand Rapids native now comes to Odyzey Music for a heady four-track EP, titled Moon Stone.

What better place to release the short player than CloZee’s swiftly rising indie imprint, too, as one can certainly hear the Odyzey family vibes in the lead title track. Whether its calling up the tribal, acoustic elements on “Moonstone” or the expansive space of “Lucid Dreamscape,” each track stands on its own while also building so fluidly into the next. “Movimiento” is a Latin-tinged number that collides into the world of bass with it’s propulsive basslines and fun-filled vibe.

Speaking to the track and the EP on the whole, Rowland said over his socials:

CloZee is not only a true queen in her lane, but she’s also one of those individuals who puts time and energy into supporting artists like your best friend would. I’m thankful for the support she’s shown my project, and so many other talented friends as well. The EP ends with “Sherwood Forest,” an obvious homage to his home festival in Michigan, which he dropped during the last weekend of June. The song is the perfect landing space to the project as well as one that any Super Future fan will be dying to hear when Rowland eventually gets booked to play the festival.

Always opting for introspective and psychospiritual motifs in his sonic repretrior, Super Future has become known for delivering a metaphysical message to his live audiences, while simultaneously keeping the energy high with trap and bass.
