It’s no secret that Smoakland has been on an absolute tear this past summer. The sky-rocketing duo Oakland-based production duo’s slate of summer festival appearances has included LiB, Electric Forest, Sound Haven, Yonderville, and most recently Wakaan Festival, just to name a few. Hot off the heels of their We Are Deadbeats Vol. 5 inclusion, Smoakland now turns back to Deadbeats Records for their latest EP release in the form of a sweltering five-track EP, titled SMOAK SESH.

All in all, the EP conjures up the defining Smoakland sound that has been taking shape for several years now. From the recently-released “Welcome to Smoakland” lead track, featuring Attitude, to the heavy “Paper Chasin” that calls on Cyber G for co-production credits, and the KOLI-assisted outtro track that gleans beautifully melodic, the entire project represents the underground bass duo’s first breakthrough moment (which has been a long time coming).

SMOAK SESH comes paired with the announcement of a fall tour by the same name, which kicks off in Tempe in early September and runs through early December. Stream the five-track EP, out via Deadbeats, and check dates for Smoakland’s tour below.
