Watch Kayzo bring out Papa Roach’s lead vocalist at Lollapalooza 2018
Everyone remembers their very first music festival. For Kayzo, attending Lollapalooza in 2011 would mark a defining moment that would forever change his life and career. So to come back as a billed artist for this year’s edition of Lollapalooza was a crowning achievement, to say the least.
The Los Angeles producer took to the Perry’s stage for a very special debut performance, during which he brought to the stage Papa Roach’s lead vocalist, Jacoby Shaddix. Shaddix shocked the crowd and rocked a 2000-throwback performance of “Last Resort,” which sits as one of Kayzo’s most popular, highest streamed remixes of all time.
Later during the set, Kayzo returned to the mic to tell the crowd how special his Lolla debut was for him, regardless of learning he has kidney stones the night before. A special moment indeed, although it also speaks to the larger issue of artist’s health and wellness in a physically taxing and mentally draining industry.
