Porter Robinson tells GQ Japan he’s got a new project in the works
In a recent interview with Billboard China, Porter Robinson spoke candidly of his love for the Asian culture. It’s an obvious fact when one merely thinks about the sound of his music and the style of his visuals. However, when asked about any new music on the horizon, Robinson was a little more guarded.
“I’m a very secretive person, so I don’t usually say what I’m going to do before I do it,” said Robinson. “I want people to know that I’m always working on new music.”
It looks as though that time may just be around the corner. A snippet from Porter Robinson on the cover of GQ Japan‘s March edition revealed the Virtual Self creator is planning a new project. After his Virtual Self turn last year, the young visionary has since received a Grammy nomination for the new moniker’s “Ghost Voices,” which celebrates nostalgic techno and hardcore of the late ’90s and early 2000s dance music.
