Illenium announces release date for third studio album, ‘Ascend’

Illenium has been on a steady releasing stream over the past few months, including “God Damnit” with Call Me Karizma, “Crashing” featuring Bahari, the Kameron Alexander-assisted track, “Pray,” and, most recently, “Good Things Fall Apart” with Jon Bellion.

So an impending album was only a matter of time. Now Illenium’s camp makes the news official — his third studio album will arrive July 16 on Astralwerks. Perhaps fans can also expect to see Illenium’s Halsey remix, along with his working collaborations with The Chainsmokers and Ekali, which are currently making their live test runs on the festival circuit.

The news comes coupled with a massive tour announcement slated for later this week. Illenium has already announced huge shows at Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks, so those dates will likely be included as part of the album tour.
