Lil Fish enlists fellow French beatmaker CloZee on melodic breakbeat single, ‘The Lost Voices’

France-native Lil Fish is gearing up for the release of his first musical project with Gravitas Recordings, Organic. To kick off excitement for the project, he’s enlisted fellow Toulouse-based producer and frequent collaborator CloZee on an impressive collaboration, “The Lost Voices.” Lil Fish has officially remixed to of CloZee’s tracks, “Get Up Now” and “Harmony,” over the years, but this marks their first official track together.

“The Lost Voices” presents fluid synthesis before the cries of the lost voices are entwined with spiraling indigenous instrumentation. The two artist’s styles are indistinguishable on the track, with soft orchestral tones, atmospheric textures, tribal-inspired percussion, and a budding bassline laid over a lush jungle landscape. It’s a melodic breakbeat song that communicates a somber nostalgia over some lost past along with a push-and-pull energy between technology and nature.

It’s certainly refreshing to see France leading the pack on vibrant experimental electronic music, especially in the world category. Lil Fish’s forthcoming Organic EP is set to land soon on Gravitas Recordings.
